Lebanese Bite the Hand that Feeds Them

The Lebanese people allow and facilitate Hezbollah to exist within their country and to stock weapons. And, all the while the United Nations turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to the preparations of Hezbollah. Hezbollah precipitates a conflict with Israel and predictably Israel responds. The United Nations immediately condemns Israel. Everything is on track as expected. Then the angry Lebanese populace attacks the U.N.

In Beirut, a demonstration of hundreds of civilians condemning the massacre Israel carried out and the Arab regimes that stand idly by is being held. The demonstrators, carrying flags of Hizbullah, are attacking UN representatives, are destroying property in the UN building, and are calling out in favor of Hizbullah and its leader.
Makes perfect sense, don’t you think? No? I guess you don’t think like a Middle-Eastern person. There’s the rub; don’t you know?
