LA Times Headline Lacks Respect

Here’s the headline in the LA Times today, “Mexican Cancels Campaign Trip to Los Angeles.” Mexican? Which Mexican? It turns out the “Mexican” is Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, a leading presidential candidate. Obrador was scheduled to visit Los Angeles and woo as many as 100 thousand expatriate voters at a Mexican Independence Day celebration.
…tens of thousands gather annually to reenact "El Grito," the ceremonial cry that urged Mexicans to revolt against their European rulers in 1810.

Obrador canceled the visit because Mexican federal campaign authorities declared that a visit would violate campaign regulations.
