Dishonesty-Weapon of the Cut & Run Crowd

We went to war in Iraq with the strong bi-partisan support of Congress. Now we are in an extended battle and the “Cut & Run Crowd” finds it politically expedient to abandon the effort that they approved. Go here and see and hear what Madeleine Albright (Sec. of State in the Clinton Administration), Pres. Clinton, Howard Dean (D-VT), and Sandy Berger (Nat. Security Advisor Clinton Administration) said in 1998. In 2002, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), Joe Biden (D-DE), Harry Reid (D-NY), and Hillory Clinton (D-NY) weighed in on the issue. In 2003, John Edwards (D-NC) and Evan Bayh (D-IN) had their say.

Now, the Democrats have changed their tune. Were they dishonest when they made their statements? Or, are they now dishonest? Doesn’t much matter because they will say whatever is politically expedient at the time, even if it is now deleterious to our military personnel and national security.
