Iran & Syria Put On Notice

Those who learn the art of terrorism and insurgency often do so within the geographical confines of countries other than the targeted country. It makes no sense to idly sit-by if the host country does not make a concerted and successful effort to root out and destroy the terrorist networks before their tradecraft can be exported. In his speech last night, President George W. Bush put Iran and Syria on notice when he said,

Succeeding in Iraq also requires defending its territorial integrity and stabilizing the region in the face of extremist challenges. This begins with addressing Iran and Syria. These two regimes are allowing terrorists and insurgents to use their territory to move in and out of Iraq. Iran is providing material support for attacks on American troops. We will disrupt the attacks on our forces. We'll interrupt the flow of support from Iran and Syria. And we will seek out and destroy the networks providing advanced weaponry and training to our enemies in Iraq.
We must take the fight to the sources and destroy all those infected with the disease of Islamo-fascism. There is no other cure.
