Spirit of Justice Returned to Her Natural State

When John Ashcroft became the U. S. Attorney General, he instructed that the Spirit of Justice be draped with cloth to conceal her bare breast. She stood in the Great Hall of the Department of Justice since the 1930’s without any problem. Undoubtedly Ashcroft’s views are held by more than a few of his countrymen. There is even a group that goes around clothing statues that reveal too much skin. These acts are not modesty in action, they are a sign of an unhealthy psyche. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has returned the Spirit of Justice to her natural form. Read it here.
